The Patina Library

Artenara Studio began as a personal search for "something more" in home decor—that little bit of extra that turns a beige standard into a truly spectacular interior.

With a background in renovating 40 properties over the last 10 years, we developed an obsession with the materials that define a room. Artenara Studio is the culmination of that experience: a practice dedicated to the textures and colours of living metal.

Our Process

Every panel is a bespoke commission, handcrafted to order in our workshop. We move away from the mass-produced, and embrace the slow, intentional process of metalwork.

The manual application of specialised patinas allows us to capture years of character in just a few weeks, resulting in those deep, rich tones you see in our work.

Every patina we create is slightly different. When you buy from us, you know that your installation is entirely one-of-a-kind, and no other person will own the exact same piece as you.

Brushed Brass / Champagne Patina (BB-01)

Finely brushed surface with soft, linear grain and restrained tonal variation. The finish is defined by a pale gold luminosity and a sense of understated luxury. Brushed by hand, the surface appears calm and uniform from a distance, yet reveals delicate, intentional variations and subtle tonal movement on closer inspection, giving the sense of depth without visual noise.

Brushed Copper / Rose Feather (BC-01)

Rose Feather finish is defined by a soft, satin surface with a fine, directional grain. The brushing process reduces reflectivity while preserving the metal’s warmth, resulting in a finish that catches light evenly without high gloss or mirror-like shine. Compared to aged or heavily patinated copper, brushed copper presents a more controlled and consistent appearance.

Aged Brass (AB-01)

Our signature patina where muted gold tones are broken by darker oxidized blooms. The irregular staining give the metal a settled, time-worn character.

Volcanic Earth (VE-01)

Volcanic Earth is our signature copper patina, defined by a dramatic interplay between warm copper tones and deep, mottled oxidation. The surface develops high-contrast depth, with darker mineral-like areas emerging organically across the metal, creating a sense of movement and material intensity.

Dark Velvet (DV-01)

Dark Velvet is the most intense copper finish in the collection, characterised by pronounced areas of dark patina layered with deep purple and dark green undertones. The surface develops with strong tonal contrast, and emphasises copper’s raw character rather than uniformity, making each panel visually distinctive.
